“Cosmient was founded in 2017 as a technology research and development vehicle that would enable me to pursue my passion for technology innovation after selling my previous business.
We later became venture builders that funded, designed, prototyped and tested new technologies ready for early-stage incubation across interesting areas such as HD streaming from space, VR training for space tourism, treasure ship location and recovery in Iceland and a few novel projects in-between.
During our venture building, we designed and developed a prototype of an AI technology that is so ground-breaking and transformational that we have now spun this, and 100% of our resource into a new venture which will drive the future of immersive e-commerce, both in the real world and the metaverse.
Life at Cosmient is lots of fun. Everyone is given a seat at the table and encouraged to exercise their voice. Our days mainly consist of ideation, design and development.”
“We are developing something truly ground-breaking that involves cutting edge AI. That presents some significant challenges for a start-up, especially access to domain expertise and prohibitively high development costs.”
“Cosmient exists only to execute this one idea. To receive help and assistance of such high calibre at the exact, optimal time in our journey is enabling us to leap forward with some of the more difficult challenges associated with the more advanced features of our product that we did not expect to address until a later stage. It is like having a time machine.”
“Cosmient AI automatically personifies products & IP into digitally sentient personalities, making consumer interactions a highly social and engaging experience that generates:
Instead of browsing static text and images related to a product or IP (book/film character), you can now talk to them as if they were real people. They know all about themselves but can also converse about life, the universe and anything else you want to talk about. These Meta Beings can exist in the current web 2.0 world and the metaverse as in-world characters.
We are in the midst of a privacy revolution when it comes to consumer data, so brands need new ways to engage with their consumers while supporting their evolving privacy needs. Besides providing a unique and novel way to engage, Meta Beings collect zero and first party data in a way that does not compromise modern privacy values.”
“Being a start-up, fundraising is a perpetual process, so any wins are helpful. Speeding up feature development within the product is an obvious win but there is a level of kudos that comes with this collaboration. It is delivered in two phases and you must first pass phase 1 during which your idea is vetted both commercially and technically. The assistance we are receiving comes from some of the brightest minds at the cutting edge of AI research so being admitted into phase 2 not only gives us great comfort, it will comfort our investors too.”
“One of the features we intended to build in the future was the ability to automatically generate interactive characters from books and film scripts. The programme is enabling us to progress that aspect much sooner than we anticipated.”
“The technical assistance that is provided as part of phase 2 is the key highlight for us.”
“Ethical and explainable AI must be considered at the embryonic stage of your idea and be built into your technology from day 1. Otherwise, you are going to find it difficult to retrofit those in at a later stage, to the extent that you might never do it. That could be a costly mistake.”
“Insightful, Impactful, Impressive.”
